That's totally fine! Most kids won't become podcasters, just like most kids who take art class won't become artists. But the skills they'll learn — storytelling, clear communication, organizing their thoughts, speaking with confidence — are things they'll use their whole lives. Think of this as a fun way to build those skills while creating something they're proud of.

Podcast Camp is designed for kids ages 6-11 who love storytelling and want to learn how to create their own podcast. Whether your child is a huge Who Smarted? fan or just curious about making audio content, this camp will meet them where they are and help them build real skills. Worth noting - just like parents love listening to Who Smarted?, you will enjoy this camp too - so it's a great activity to do with the SmartyPants!

Just a computer, phone or tablet with internet access, and a quiet space to join the live sessions. For recording their podcast, kids will use the existing mic on their phone or computer and free recording software we'll recommend. We'll provide step-by-step guidance on all the tech setup.  We will provide recommendations if you wish to upgrade to higher quality equipment, but that is not necessary.

All four live Q&A sessions take place on Saturdays in March (March 7, 14, 21, 28), times TBD. Each session is one hour long. Can't make it live? No problem - you get lifetime access to all recordings, and the course is self-paced so you can work through lessons anytime - and you can ask your questions right in the community forum.

YES! This is a Who Smarted? first - Jerry Kolber, the voice you know as the Trusty Narrator, will be on camera for all four live sessions. We've never done a face reveal before, and Podcast Camp is where it's finally happening! You'll get to see both Jerry and Adam "Tex" Davis (aka Chet Nickerson) teaching you live, showing you exactly how they make Who Smarted? episodes. This is your chance to learn directly from the creators - faces and all!

The price is per household - so if you have more than one kid, you just pay once! Please note, the video platform for the live Q&A might limit you to one sign-on a time, so the kids may have to share a screen for that.

By the end of the four weeks, your child will have a completed podcast episode that they created from start to finish - including topic selection, script writing, recording, editing, and publishing. They'll learn the exact same storytelling techniques we use to make Who Smarted?

Yes! You can request a full refund anytime before Week 2 content is released (March 14th). This gives you time to try Week 1 and make sure it's the right fit for your kid. If it's not, just email us for a complete refund - no questions asked. We want every kid to love this experience.

Absolutely. Kids will have access to a private moderated forum where they can ask questions between sessions, share their work, and get tips from Jerry and Tex. Plus, during the live sessions, there will be Q&A time for real-time help.

No problem at all! Kids can take as long as they need to complete their podcast. They'll have lifetime access to all the materials, and we'll still be available through the forum and email to support them whether they finish in a month or take their time over several months. Zero pressure.

All lessons are delivered online through a private, secure learning portal. You’ll receive login details after enrollment, and your child can watch the lessons anytime from a computer or tablet.
